Visit of the first circulation operation of the first unit of the power plant by the Presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Tajikistan
9/11/2011
Today morning, "Mahmoud Ahmadinejad" and "Imam Ali Rahman", the Presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Tajikistan, respectively, accompanied with the top boards of both countries, attended the site of "Sangtoodeh 2" Power Plant in Vakhsh Region, located 120 km southern to Dushanbe, in pilot inauguration of the first phase of this power plant.
President of Iran pointed out that Iranian companies and experts constructed Sangtoodeh 2 Power Plant from the depth of about 40 m in Vakhsh River by using the most modern technical equipment, and this experience would be used for realization of the project of "Eini" Power Plant on "Zarafshan" River in north of Tajikistan.
Ahmadinejad stressed: such power plants as Sangtoodeh 2 and Eini that are constructed through contribution of Iran in Tajikistan do not reserve a lot of water behind their dam lake and their only application is power generation, so there will be no problem in supplying the water required for various agricultural and industrial sectors in the region.
Sangtoodeh 2 Power Plant is one of the joint projects of both countries in energy sector by investing more than USD 180 million by Iran and USD 40 million by Tajikistan, which is executed by Iranian companies and experts, being in final phases of installation of equipment.
Based on the planning, after full operation of the first and second phases of this power plant, 220 MW power generated by this important project will enter Power Distribution System of Tajikistan.

Generators of three units of Seimareh Dam Power Plant of Ilam were manufactured in HEPCO Company of Arak
8/30/2011
The generator equipment of three units of Seimareh Dam 160 MW Power Plant was manufactured in Hepco Company of Arak. The equipment was manufactured as ordered by Tuba Company of Iran (manufacturer of hydroelectric turbines), currently achieving 85% physical progress. Price of the contract for manufacturing the equipment is Rls. 30 billion and duration of contract is two years. By manufacturing the generators for Seimareh Power Plant, USD 3 million was prevented from leaving the country.
Total weight of the generator equipment of Seimareh Power Plant, whose raw materials are mainly carbon steel, is 450 T. The equipment includes various fixed and movable mechanical parts, lifting and in-situ assembly tools and skeleton of metal structure (stator form).
Seimareh Hydroelectric Power Plant will be constructed between Pol Dokhtar and Dareh Shahr in the vicinity of Seimareh River.
Iranian and Tajik experts make the equipment of Sangtoodeh 2 Power Plant ready for operation
8/24/2011
By nearing the date of official operation of the first phase of Sangtoodeh 2 Power Plant, Iranian and Tajik experts will test the equipment installed in this power plant in the late August in presence of the Presidents of Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan. Now, all equipment and devices of the first turbine of the power plant is ready for operation and the power plant is to be operated on test basis before official operation by the Presidents of three Persian speaking countries.
The first turbine of the power plant has the capacity to generate 110 MW, which will supply the power required for Khatlon Province of Tajikistan.
The operations for construction of Sangtoodeh 2 Dam and 220 MW Power Plant was started by Farab Company, which established "Sangab" Joint Venture in Tajikistan, in February 2007 on "Vakhsh" River in Khatlon Province.
Being located 120 km southeastern to Dushanbe, Sangtoodeh 2 Power Plant will generate 930 million KWh per year.
Finalization of the contract for construction of "Eini" Big Hydroelectric Power Plant on Zarafshan River is among the objectives and plans of travel of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to this country. In this journey, the document of construction of Eini Power Plant will also be executed in presence of the Presidents of both countries.
Currently, feasibility and study works of "Eini" Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant on Zarafshan River were started by the experts of "Farab" Company and all works of surveying the dam and its catchment area are almost completed.
Preliminary memorandum of understanding for construction of "Eini" Dam and Power Plant, which is to be constructed on Zarafshan River located 200 km northern to Dushanbe, was exchanged by and among Farab Company, Tajik Electricity Company and Ministry of Energy of Tajikistan in January 2010.
By full operation of the third power plant, Abadan Refinery will achieve self-sufficiency in its power supply
8/19/2011
By operation of the last gas unit of the third steam power plant of Abadan Refinery on Aug. 19, 2011, marathon of operation of steam power plant units (7 gas units + 5 gas units + 5 steam pressure reducing stations) will be completed.
The third steam power plant of Abadan Refinery has seven 30 MW gas turbines and five heat recovery boilers, each with the capacity of 50 Ton per hour. By operation of the last unit, seven gas turbines and four heat recovery boilers (HRSG) of this project have been started up and put into operation.
Aimed at generation of reliable power and replacement of the old worn-out generators of Abadan Refinery, this project was executed in a land of 3 ha in area for sustaining production of oil products, supplying power to Phase 3 (new cat cracker gasoline production unit), generating high steam pressure required for Phase 3 (new cat cracker gasoline production unit), closed circuit water system project (steam turbines of cooling tower) of the refinery, and supplying power for future projects of this company.
The second unit of Siri Power Plant was put into operation on Aug. 11, 2011
8/11/2011
This power plant is equipped with two turbines, both of which have passed final tests and started up. Upon final test of this turbine, all technical and operational phases of the power plant have been completed and the power plant supplies Siri Island Grid with its total capacity of 75 MW.
This power plant will supply the electricity needed for Siri Island and oil installations of the island for at least 10 years.
Commissioning of the fifth unit of steam generator of Abadan Refinery’s third Power Plant
8/1/2011
The fifth unit of steam generator of the Abadan Refinery’s third Power Plant commissioned on July 31st.
The third power plant of electricity and steam of this refinery includes seven 30 MW generators that in normal circumstances generate 210 MW electricity. This project is constructed with the expense of 70 million Euros (foreign-currency credit) and 640 billion Iranian Rials (Rials credit).
Each of the generators of this power plant produces 50 tons of steam with pressure of 60 pounds with capability of returning to the circuit; the produced steam secures the need of phase 2, phase 3 and the closed circuit steam of the refinery.
