Success of Farab Co. in Tender of Smart Metering Plan

In the country’ first tender of Smart Metering, the Farab Co succeeded to win in the provinces of Zanjan and Bushehr.
As a result of this success, the Farab Co. have known as leading company in the field of Smart Metering projects.
These types of contours have many advantages which one of them is elimination of human errors during on site reading of contour. With installation of intelligent contours, no longer there would be any need to be present on site for reading contour and in this way human related errors are eliminated completely. It’s worth mentioning that more than 95% errors on the bills are related to human errors which in Smart Metering eliminates it forever.
Other benefit of Smart Metering is the elimination of papery bill of electric. So the papery bill will be eliminated after installation of the Smart Metering and afterward, the electric bill is sent electronically to the customer via installed display in houses or via short messages to the customer’s mobile phone.
The Last Rotor of Upper Gotvand Power Plant was Installed

The last rotor of phase 1 of 2000 Mega Watt Gotvand Olia power plant with and weight equivalent to 500 tons successfully installed.
The Gotvand Olia power plant is of ground installed type and consists of eight 250 Mega Watt unit (including; 4 for phase one and 4 for development phase) which with capacity of 2000 mega watt has the ability to generate 4,550 Giga Watt-Hour hydroelectric energy.
Currently, two units of Gotvand Olia Power plant is ready for operation and with installation implementation of last unit is forecasted that the first phase plan of this power plant will be completely readied for operation at the end of current year. Exploitation of this power plant, in addition to guaranteeing the security of country’ eclectic network, it will make worthy contribution in controlling frequency and stability of Trans-Network.
The equipment of power plant have weight equivalent to 9,000 tons which consists of Turbines, Generators, Butterfly Valves, Velocity Governors, Transformers and Cranes.

In this three days conference which were held with support of eighty(80) internal universities and research centers in the electric industry as well as thirty (30) external universities and research institutions and 130 associations, the researchers and specialists presented their papers in 19 related subject matters to the conference.
One of the goals of this conference was to supply some grounds for those who are active in electric industry as well as educational & research institutions so that they could be able to introduce their latest achievement. The holding of the conference with presence of more than ten internal & external active companies in the field of electric industry were some of the side activities of this international conference.
Farab co. had an expanded & multilateral presence, favored by participants in the first hours of exhibition and was the host of visitors, experts and participating companies at the conference.

The biggest exhibition of Middle East Electric Industry were held by setting goals of transferring new technology in electric industry, establishing more interaction between government and private sector, development of electric industry export and sound competition among active companies in electric industry with presence of 532 companies consists of 260 internal and 72 eternal companies.

The annual conference & exhibition of Hydro 2011 were held from Oct-17 to Oct-19-2011 with presence of more than 1600 participants from 73 various countries and more than 300 international companies in the city of Prague - Republic of Czech.
Also, the Farab Company based on its goals toward its presence in the international markets and as the only Iranian company in the exhibition had an active contribution in the conference by presenting specialty article in the ground of its experiences in Hydraulic Power Plant.
The aforesaid article presented in the section of Hydraulic Machinery and with title of “ Examination of Cavitations Phenomena and Repair Approach in Slide Tail Gate of water on Power Plant” which with respect to being relevant to the study favored by academic experts & designer.

According to Farab’ public relation repot dated 22/10/2011 and on the occasion of “ Exports Day” , The ceremonies of 14th round of introducing country’ model exporter were held with the presence of honorable vice-president of Islamic Republic of Iran his Excellency Dr. Rahimi at the Conventions Hall, the Permanent location of Tehran’ International Exhibitions.
In this ceremony the Farab Co. praised for Country’ Model Exporter for the year 2011.

The Farab Co. as one of the few companies in exporting Technical & Engineering Services to the country Kenya attended to the 1st International Conference for introduction of Commercial Opportunities and Huge Projects of the country Kenya and its side exhibit which held at IRIB Int´l. Conference Center (IICC) on 1 and 2 of October.
In the side exhibit of conference, the booth of Farab Co. was acceptor of responsible authorities and Iranian visitors, Ambassador of Kenya in Iran & Deputy of Kenyan’ Ministries and accompanying Councils.

The 1st International Conference and 3rd National Dam & Hydraulic Power plant will be held this year at IRIB Int´l. Conference Center (IICC) during 08 and 09 of February.
According to report of public relation of Dam & Hydraulic Power Plant Conference; Eng.“Sayid-Reza Reza Zadeh” who is the managing director of Development of Water & Power Resources Company and head of Dam & Hydraulic Power Plant Conference stated the topics of this conference as: Works of Developmental, Electrical Equipment, Mechanical Equipment, Structure Technology & Construction Materials, Geotechnical & Earthquake Aspects, HSSE, Environmental Aspects, River Engineering & Hydraulic Construct, Small, Medium, Large Power Plant, Flows, Reserve Pump, Sustainability & Integrated Management of Water Resources, Rebuilding, Exploitation & Maintenance of Dams, Electricity Transmission Network, Project Management, Risk & Safety Analysis, Legal, Social & Economic’ Subjects, Decision Maker Systems, Securing Financial, Method of Outsourcing & Private Sector’ Partnership, Surveillance & Precise Instruments and other related subjects.

Visit of the first circulation operation of the first unit of the power plant by the Presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Tajikistan

Today morning, "Mahmoud Ahmadinejad" and "Imam Ali Rahman", the Presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Tajikistan, respectively, accompanied with the top boards of both countries, attended the site of "Sangtoodeh 2" Power Plant in Vakhsh Region, located 120 km southern to Dushanbe, in pilot inauguration of the first phase of this power plant.
President of Iran pointed out that Iranian companies and experts constructed Sangtoodeh 2 Power Plant from the depth of about 40 m in Vakhsh River by using the most modern technical equipment, and this experience would be used for realization of the project of "Eini" Power Plant on "Zarafshan" River in north of Tajikistan.
Ahmadinejad stressed: such power plants as Sangtoodeh 2 and Eini that are constructed through contribution of Iran in Tajikistan do not reserve a lot of water behind their dam lake and their only application is power generation, so there will be no problem in supplying the water required for various agricultural and industrial sectors in the region.
Sangtoodeh 2 Power Plant is one of the joint projects of both countries in energy sector by investing more than USD 180 million by Iran and USD 40 million by Tajikistan, which is executed by Iranian companies and experts, being in final phases of installation of equipment.
Based on the planning, after full operation of the first and second phases of this power plant, 220 MW power generated by this important project will enter Power Distribution System of Tajikistan.
Presence of Farab in the 7th International Water and Wastewater Industry Exhibition of 2011

In the 7th International Water and Wastewater Industry Exhibition, held from 5th to 8th of September in Permanent Tehran International Fair, Farab was honored with Top Contractors Plaque of Appreciation and Statue.
In this exhibition, 230 domestic companies and 30 foreign companies from Germany, China, the Netherlands, Denmark, United States, Turkey, Syria and United Arab Emirates participated. Previously, Water Exhibition was held biennially, but it will be held annually from this year.
Among the remarkable events was participation and active presence of Tuba and Notash companies in this exhibition and the senior officer and authorities of Ministry of Energy and the affiliated companies visited the stall of Farab and affiliated companies.
