Official connection operation of line 2 to line 1 of Mashhad urban railway began on Monday, May 07, in presence of The President.

According to Public Relations of Farab Co., on a visit to Khorasan Razavi, Hojatoleslam Valmuslemin Dr. «Hassan Rouhani» attended the official operation ceremony of connection project of line 2 to line 1 of Mashhad urban railway.

At this ceremony, while expressing satisfaction that people in Mashhad and pilgrims of Imam Reza (AS) can use metro to travel in the city, Rouhani ordered to officially operate the project.

At the ceremony of connection operation of line 2 to line 1 of Mashhad urban railway, Mashhad Mayor also said: “currently, 160000 passengers a day travel by Mashhad urban railway lines. By connecting Line 2 to Line 1, its capacity will multiply”.

«Ghasem Taghizade Khamesi» continued: “with the support of government and Islamic Council of Mashhad, over five thousand billion credit was spent to connect these lines”.

The report also adds: Farab Co. is EPC contractor of equipment and fleet of line 2 Project of Mashhad urban railway, and for the first time in the country, Automatic Train Operation (ATO) signaling mode is launched in this country.
