The second unit of 150MW Sardasht Hydro Power Plant in West Azerbaijan was successfully synched with the national power grid on Monday, 26th of Aug, 2019.

According to Public Relations of Farab Co., 150MW Sardasht Hydro Power Plant has 3 50MW units with 422GW power generation capacity per year.

Sardasht Hydro Power Plant and dam project is constructed in West Azerbaijan province, 15Km of Sardasht. The purpose of this project is to control surface and boundary waters, supply Sardasht and Rabat with agricultural and drinking water, exploit hydroelectric potential of runoffs by constructing a 150MW Power Plant, and create job opportunities during construction and operation, development and prosperity of tourism in the region.
