After successfully achieving the design of two pressure steam cycles in the South Pars steam turbine power plant project, a basic design for a triple pressure cycle for the Dalahoo combined cycle power plant project was completed. Dalahoo is the first combined cycle project in Iran completely designed by Iranian (Farab) engineers based on F-class gas turbines.
The design of the reheat steam cycle, including cost-efficiency optimization, was completely performed by Farab engineers. Since the balance of the plant has been designed in-house, Farab has now developed the ability to reapply this knowledge in the design of all types and ranges of combined cycle power plants.
A closed loop waste water recovery system is designed to minimize water consumption and bring the plant to the category of “zero liquid discharge” (ZLD).
In this project, an air cooled condenser (ACC) is designed by Farab engineers in cooperation with Innospin Company, and will be the largest ACC with very low backpressure (5 kilopascal) ever designed in Iran.
