Farab (Private Joint Stock), as a skilled and responsible general contractor, has tried to move toward excellence since 1992. Having successfully completing more than 30 projects, Farab is currently working on different domestic and international projects in a wide variety of fields such as hydro power plants, thermal power plants, oil, gas, petrochemical projects, railway industries, civil works, smart grid, water treatment plants, water desalination plants, and operation and maintenance of power plants.

Power

Over the past two decades Farab has been working on projects worth billions of dollars in the area of power plants. The company has completed 81 power plant units with a total installed capacity of 10,660 MW so far. In addition, projects for another 2,475.6 MW are presently under construction, including 1,094.2 MW of hydropower plants and 1,381.4 MW of thermal power plants. This provides Farab with a substantial and seamless track record.

Rail

Development of rail industries is recognized as one of the prerequisite of sustainable development of Iranian mega cities. In View of Farab’s Successful experience in other industrial and domestic sectors, in 2011, the company decided to take part in this sector.

Oil, Gas and Petrochemical

Farab performs all of its approximately 15 upstream and downstream projects based on the EPC, and in addition engages in oil and gas field development, offshore complexes and facilities, oil and gas refineries, utility and offsite systems, petrochemical complexes and affiliated industries, pipelines, pumping and compressor stations and either, tank farms.

Water

Water resources are becoming increasingly scarce, especially in the Middle East which lacks access to water. In this regard, many desalination plants using sea water to produce consumable water as drinking or industrial water need to be executed.

Civil

Farab's goal is to be an international construction company, specialized and experienced in the execution of large scale projects. We cover a vast range of civil works such as power plants, tunneling and road construction

Operations and Maintenance

Farab Operations and Maintenance Company was established in 2013 by Farab Company to operate and maintain a number of large power plants and we now have five under operation in Iran and one outside the country, as well as supervising one power plant's operation outside the country.

Smart Grid

Upon the successful implementation and operation of 2*2,000 pilot projects with electricity smart meters (FAHAM projects) in Zanjan and Bushehr provinces in Iran by Farab company, these projects have entered into execution phase, and currently over 50,000 smart electricity meters (AMI meters) have been launched and are under operation by Farab company at 13 electricity distribution companies (in 11 provinces across the country). Farab company's ongoing projects for electricity smart meters (FAHAM projects) shall continue until the installation and commissioning of 350,000 electricity smart meters accordingly.
