The first and second units of Daryan Hydro Power Plant of Kermanshah was inaugurated on the morning of Thursday, April 26 (2018), in presence of the Minister of Energy and the governor of Kermanshah.

According to Public Relations of Farab Co., following his two-day visit to Kermanshah, Dr. “Reza Ardakaniyan”, Minister of Energy, inaugurated two of three units of Daryan Hydro Power Plant with capacity of 140 MW in Paveh.

A month after experimental operation, with a minimum authorized trip and more than 3,280 hours of operation, these two units were connected to nationwide electricity grid.

Daryan Hydro Power Plant has three 70 MW units (a total of 210 MW) with vertical Francis turbines. Last September, the first unit of this power plant was Synchronized to national grid which is generating electricity now.

Farab Co. is the EPC contractor of Daryan Hydro Power Plant.

The report adds: at ceremony of the first and second units of Daryan Hydro Power Plant, Minister of Power referred to Daryan Hydro Power Plant as one of the honors of Islamic Republic of Iran and said that “all EPC stages of this 210 MW power plant were carried out by domestic experts”.
